Sell your vintage StarCom toys
StarCom, "The US Space Force", was Coleco's 1987 space line, sold across Europe by Mattel into the early 90s: little astronauts with magnetic Magna-Lock boots and vehicles that deployed under their own power. It never got the fame of the big lines, but its collectors are devoted, and good collections rarely come up. If you've got some, I want to see them. Send photos for a free, no-obligation cash offer. Most people hear back within a day.

What I'm looking for
- Magna-Lock figures, astronauts and Shadow Force alike
- Motorised Power Deploy vehicles, working or not
- Playsets and bases, complete or partial
- Boxed examples in any condition of box
- Loose accessories, small parts and spares
- …and whatever else is in the box: loose figures, spares, non-runners and job lots all welcome. Incomplete is fine.
How much are old StarCom toys worth?
StarCom is one of those toys people underestimate. Because the line sold for only a few years, and far fewer survived here than in America, European stock is thin on the ground, and dedicated collectors notice every piece that surfaces. That means toys your average buyer wouldn't recognise can be worth more than far more famous names from the same shelf.
Value follows the usual pattern: boxed beats loose, complete beats partial, and the bigger vehicles and playsets lead the way. Working Power Deploy motors are a nice bonus rather than a requirement. Decades in a loft aren't kind to wind-up mechanisms, and collectors know it. Guide prices are one thing; a real offer is another. Send a few photos and I'll tell you exactly what I'd pay, with no obligation.

StarCom questions
Is StarCom actually collectable? Nobody seems to have heard of it.
It really is. StarCom was a short-lived line, which means the people who collect it have very few places to buy, and very few people to buy from. That works in your favour: a line most car-boot buyers would walk past is one I'm actively looking for.
The motorised parts don't run any more. Still worth selling?
Yes. The wind-up Power Deploy mechanisms often tire out or jam after decades in a box. Working examples are a bonus, but non-runners are still wanted, complete or for parts.
