Sell your vintage He-Man & Masters of the Universe toys

By the power of Grayskull: if you had Mattel's Masters of the Universe figures between 1982 and 1988, you had the biggest toys of the mid-80s. I buy old He-Man collections in any state, from a shoebox of floppy-waisted figures to a complete Snake Mountain. Send a few photos for a free, no-obligation cash offer. What I'm looking for

  • Figures from the whole 1982–1988 run: He-Man, Skeletor and everyone between
  • Early figures and their variants (the first releases matter to collectors)
  • Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain, complete or not
  • Battle Cat, Panthor and the other beasts
  • Vehicles: Wind Raider, Attak Trak, Battle Ram and friends
  • The mini-comics that came packed with the figures
  • Weapons, armour and loose accessories
  • …and everything else in the box: loose figures, spare weapons, broken playsets and job lots all welcome. Incomplete is fine.

How much are old He-Man toys worth?

Masters of the Universe was made in enormous numbers, so what separates an ordinary collection from a valuable one is detail: which figures, which versions, and how much survived. The early releases and their variants are the ones collectors ask about, and the big playsets, Castle Grayskull and especially Snake Mountain, hold their value well even incomplete, because so few stayed complete.

Condition-wise, He-Man figures wear in predictable ways: perished waist bands, worn paint on noses and chests, missing weapons and armour. None of that stops a collection being worth selling. It's the normal state of toys that were loved. Keep an eye out for the mini-comics that came with the figures, too; they're collectable on their own. Whatever a listing says, the number that matters is the one you're really offered. Send a few photos and I'll tell you what I'd pay, no obligation.

He-Man questions

My figures are floppy and the waists don't spring back. Still worth selling?

Yes. The rubber band inside the waist perishes with age on almost every figure that got played with. It's expected, it's repairable, and it doesn't stop me buying them.

Castle Grayskull is missing bits. Is it still worth anything?

Definitely. Complete castles with the drawbridge, throne, weapons rack and all the accessories are rare; most have lost something along the way. Incomplete playsets are still wanted, both whole and for parts.

Should I dig out the little comics that came with the figures?

Yes, please. The mini-comics are collected in their own right and add to an offer. Check the bottom of the box; that's where they usually end up.
