Sell your vintage M.A.S.K. toys

Kenner's M.A.S.K. line ran from 1985 to 1988: ordinary-looking vehicles that flipped into something else entirely, each with a little driver and, crucially, a little mask. If yours survived the loft, I'd like to see them. Send a few photos for a free, no-obligation cash offer. Most people hear back within a day.

What I'm looking for

  • Thunderhawk, Rhino, Gator and all the transforming vehicles
  • The Boulder Hill playset
  • Figures: Matt Trakker, Miles Mayhem and the rest of both sides
  • The masks themselves, loose or attached
  • Boxed vehicles, with or without inserts and instructions
  • Split vehicles, spare parts and odd wheels
  • …and the rest: loose masks, stray drivers, vehicle parts and half-complete sets are all worth photographing. Incomplete is fine.

How much are old M.A.S.K. toys worth?

With M.A.S.K., one small thing drives value more than anything else: the masks. Each figure came with one, they're tiny, and they were the first thing to vanish into the vacuum cleaner, so vehicles with their figures and masks intact are the ones collectors fight over. Before you photograph anything, it's worth tipping the box out and checking for them; finding two or three can noticeably change an offer.

Beyond that, the usual rules apply. Complete transformations matter (flip the vehicle and see if all the flaps, missiles and panels are still there) and Boulder Hill or boxed vehicles are strong finds in any condition. But masks or no masks, playworn M.A.S.K. is still wanted; there's far less of it around than the bigger 80s lines. Whatever the guides say, the only number that counts is the one you're actually offered. Send a few photos and I'll tell you what I'd pay, no obligation.

M.A.S.K. questions

The little masks are long gone. Is it still worth selling?

Yes, and you're in good company: the masks are the most commonly lost part of the whole line. Vehicles and figures without them are still well worth selling. Just say what you have, and if any masks do turn up in the bottom of the box, include them in the photos.

I've got vehicles but no drivers. Do you still want them?

Yes. Vehicles without their figures, and odd figures without their vehicles, both have value. Collectors are forever reuniting one with the other, and I buy both halves.
