How much are old Real Ghostbusters toys worth?
The Firehouse and Ecto-1 lead this line: both were big, both got played hard, and both are tricky to find complete, which is exactly why even incomplete examples are worth selling. The figures themselves came with neon proton streams and little ghost companions that vanished almost immediately, so complete carded or bagged examples stand out, while loose figures remain the everyday currency of the line.
Don't overlook the roleplay toys either. A played-with Proton Pack that survived thirty-odd years of fancy dress is still a wanted item, and the ghosts (squishy, stretchy and often slightly sticky by now) are collected in their own right. Do you buy the ghosts and the roleplay stuff, or just the figures?
All of it. The ghosts are half the charm of the line, and the roleplay toys (Proton Packs, ghost traps, PKE meters) are properly collectable, played-with or not. If it says Kenner and glows, oozes or screams, I want to see it.
The figures have lost their proton streams and accessories. Still worth selling?
Yes. The neon streams and little ghosts that came with the figures vanished fast in most households. Loose figures without accessories are the normal state of a Real Ghostbusters collection, and I buy them as they come.
